The Ultimate Towner is a benefit for a different non-profit each year and is selected by January 15th of the event year.  We support the non-profit by raising awareness of the mission, free participant entries and proceeds from the event. 

Interested non-profits can contact Grand Dynamics for consideration. We are reviewing applications for 2025, including Becoming Jackson Hole! 

You will choose checkpoint challenges you want to locate and complete using the following resources: 

• A printed map showing the locations of the checkpoints

• A digital map integrated into our smart-phone GAME APP 

• A Google Map can be viewed on the website showing SOME checkpoint locations.

The FINAL COURSE MAP is released on the day of the event!

You can go to any checkpoint, in any order.  

If you choose not to use the GAME APP you will not complete challenges for points in the game. The GAME APP is how we track points awarded for completed checkpoints.

• MOST Participants use the GAME APP which tracks POINTS for completing challenges.  

• We will award prizes to teams that accumulate the most points! 

• Points are earned by completing the checkpoints and additional on-the-go challenges in the GAME APP via text, photo, and video submissions! 

• Your team will log in to the GAME APP under one team email and password to complete challenges and points per team.

NO:
Smart-Phone is NOT Required - Participate via MAP

• You can travel to checkpoint locations using a physical MAP and have fun completing the checkpoints, obstacles, and challenges for FUN! 

• No digital phone is required, but no points will be acquired or tracked.

FUN: By having the most fun, of course!

POINTS: 

• Teams that earn the maximum number of points by the end of the game win!  

• Points are earned during the two-hour on-course time period 

• Points are earned as challenges are completed, and tracked by our GAME APP. 

• Different types of challenges have different point values.

• A LIVE LEADERBOARD will be available in the GAME APP until the final 30 minutes of the game. 

• We will reveal the final winners after the on-course time is finished! 

• Winners are announced and prizes are awarded approximately 45 minutes after the game is completed. 

PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to different categories, including:

• Teams with the Most Points (Several top-scoring teams will win prizes!)

• Teams on Wheels, Teams On-Foot

• Individuals with the most points

• Best Costumes!

• We recommend two to six participants per team. 

• Teams stay together during the event completing checkpoints as one team. 

• Individuals may participate in the Towner

• An overview is available via Google Maps on the Ultimate Towner Website. 

• Additional course information will be revealed as we get closer to the event. 

• The final course map will be released on the day of the event.

• NO LIMIT: This is an ALL-AGES and ABILITIES EVENT.

• Children 12 and under must register and be accompanied by a registered paying adult.

• CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE: The Towner is designed to allow participants to CHOOSE the course checkpoints to go to and thus, the desired challenge and type of experience, over the two-hour, on-course time period.

Please, no dogs (other than service animals) on the course.

• Yes! You can choose to ride bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc. 

• Be sure to follow all the Rules of the Road!

• YES! The Ultimate Elevation is an ALL-TOWNER FUN WARM-UP experience that combines FUN movement with a DJ Music Mix. 

• The Ultimate Elevation is led by our Towner Team of Dance Performers. 

• Ultimate Elevation warm-up begins at approximately 9:45 AM, 15 minutes prior to the on-course time of 10 AM to 12 PM. YES – we will begin the Towner with the Ultimate Elevation warm up and YOU are invited to be a part of the dance team with a select crew on the Boulders.

YES! The 12th anniversary Ultimate Towner will have traditional Towner obstacles, such as:

• The Love Life Wall 

• Snow King Mountain of Motivation 

• Sand Pit Sammy

• Tunnel Town 

• Atlas Rock Carry  

Additional themed challenges incorporate fun elements such as:

There is a wide variety of challenges to be completed by people of all ages and abilities.
